Video Problems
1.
Q: Switch to full screen mode makes video black?

A: Recently we do found this issue with nVidia's latest driver. Please use older version 53.03 will solve this problem.

We actually have a trial version which can solve this problem.

However, due to time inefficient, we will release the formal one later. Please feel free to try it if you like.

Q: Why are images scrambled during recording?

A: Please install the video card driver from vendors.
Do not use the default drivers from Windows operation system. You can go to nVidia or ATi website if possible.

If it doesn't help after installing the video card driver from vendors, then update ComproPVR to the latest will help.

Q: TV is not clear?

A: It's possible that different locations have different receptions. Sometimes that signal could be reduced by the branching and indoor. Please make sure the cable signal is good.

Try to move the computer to the TV set and connect the cable which used for the TV set. Also if directly connect the cable before the splitter may help.

This problem could also come from the static. It mean once you connect the cable to our TV card, the static interfere the cable modem. It's possible to correct this problem by connect a wire from the grounding of the cable to ground. Or makes computer grounding good.

If the problem still, please snapshot two pictures and send us for the determination.

Q: Half screen is full with noise?

A: Check your motherboard BIOS settings, as follows:

PCI Latency Timer — a higher value (64)
Assign IRQ to VGA — ENABLE
PCI Master 0 Write — DISABLE
IRQ activate by — Level
PCI Peer Concurrency — DISABLE
CPU to PCI write buffer — DISABLE

Q: Recorded file lags while playing back. What should I do?

A: Video recording uses significant CPU resources. If CPU usage hits 100% while recording, the quality of your recordings may suffer. If this happens, close other applications while recording or use a lower recording resolution, such as VCD or SVCD formats. ComproPVR shuts down when starting to record This could be the result of an IRQ conflict. Please check Error Code: 0x1000006, above, to solve it. This may also happen when your system is unstable, such as when overclocking, Please reset your system to the default settings. Other times, the cause is interference from other applications. Please close them to solve the problem.

Q: Why do I experience audio-video synchronization problems during timeshifting?

A: Check line-in on the Volume Control applet. Your sound card could be set to monitor the recording, causing a delayed echo problem. Mute the line-in or microphone to cancel monitoring.

Q: Why the recorded file is white?

A: If your screen looks like the screen shot below, you have triggered Macrovision protection. You cannot copy VHS tapes or DVDs protected by Macrovision. This covers most commercial video tapes and DVDs.
