Remote Problems
1.
Q: Why I cannot move up and down channels?

A: Please press the "Autoscan" button in the Channels in Settings of ComproPVR. After scan the channels, channel up/down will be available.

2.
Q: Why the remote doesn't work?

A: It could be the reason as below

- The remote control sensor is plugged in the TV card. Sometimes it gets loose. Please unplug it and plug it
again can help.

- Check the batteries of the remote control. Do not use rechargeable batteries.

for ComproPVR 2.X users

- Verify that the IR icon (ComproRemote) is in the system tray on the lower-right corner of the screen. If you don't have ComproRemote on the system tray, start the following program:

C:\Program Files\ Common Files\ VideoMate\ComproRemote.exe

Then you should see the icon on the system tray. The IR icon should turn bright when you press buttons on the remote.

If you see no response, please move your mouse cursor on the IR icon. If you see it shows “No Device,” your drivers may not be not properly installed. Please remove ComproDTV using "Add/Remove programs" in the Control Panel and reinstall it.

for ComproPVR 1.X users

- Check if the green IR icon (ComproRemote) is in the system tray on the lower-right corner of the screen. If
you don't have ComproRemote on the system tray, start it by double-clicking

C:\ProgramFiles\ VideoMate\ComproPVR\Common\ComproRemote.exe.

Then you should see the icon on the system tray. You should see the green IR icon turns red when you press the buttons. If you get no other response, your IR drivers may not be not properly installed. Please remove ComproPVR using "Add/Remove programs" in the Control Panel and reinstall it.

- Please move over your mouse icon on the green IR icon to see if shows up VideoMate TV . If it is No Device , your IR drivers may not be not properly installed. Please remove ComproPVR using "Add/Remove programs" in the Control Panel and reinstall it.

- Some device emits the IR signal around. Please check if there is any microwave or light could do that. And make sure as few cable as possible crossing the IR receiver.

- Sometimes the button of the remote control may have stucked like the picture below, please try press the key again to restore it.

- If above doesn't help, it's possible that IR receiver or remote control keypad is defective. Please contact the retailer store to get replacement for the hardware defect.


3.
Q: Why the ComproPVR open and close itself repeatedly?

A: Some device emits the IR signal around. Please check if there is any microwave or light could do that. And make sure as few cable as possible crossing the IR receiver. Also do not use rechargeable batteries for remote keypad. And make sure not pressing the buttons.

Best view with 1024*768 screen display resolution.
