Q: Why the VideoMate For You cannot be started?

A: VideoMate For You need USB 2.0 in order to operate correctly. Please try to plug the power cable and USB cable to a different USB port. You should be able to see the VideoMate For You device in the Device Manager.

Please update the VideoMate For You software from our website.

Please do the Microsoft WindowsUpdates to the latest patch.

If the problem persists, it's possible that USB port power is not sufficient. Please find a 5V adapter plug in to see if help..

A: VideoMate For You is software based encoding.
Therefore, the CPU usage is very high.
VCD quality needs about 1.600MHz CPU for recording. DVD quality needs about 3.0G CPU for recording.

Please check the CPU usage if reaches 100%.
If so, then the video will jump several few seconds.
Note computer's performance depends on a lot of factors.

A: It's possible that different locations have different receptions.
Sometimes that signal could be reduced by the branching and indoor.
Please make sure the cable signal is good.
Try to move the computer to the TV set and connect the cable which used for the TV set.
Also if directly connect the cable before the splitter may help.

This problem could also come from the static.
It mean once you connect the cable to our TV card, the static interfere the cable modem.
It's possible to correct this problem by connect a wire from the grounding of the cable to ground.
Or makes computer grounding good.
