Compro PH-100 Series – A Dome Housing for Day & Night Surveillance

Compro PH-100 series dome housing features a 5-inch bubble and a mechanical design that allows for easy camera installation and cabling. This indoor dome housing provides Compro PTZ cameras with effective protection without compromising image quality or sacrificing wireless connection.

The dome housing does not impede the use of built-in IR LEDs on a Compro IP540 or Compro IP550 PTZ camera. Due to the fact that IR light can be reflected off the glass, many dome housings on the market simply inhibit the use of camera’s on-board IR illuminators and require an external IR illuminator to provide sufficient light at night. In contrast, Compro PH-100 series dome housing can be used in conjunction with Compro PTZ camera’s built-in IR LEDs during night-time without any problem in image quality at all. In other words, the combination of a Compro PH-100 dome housing and a Compro Day & Night PTZ camera can prove to be a money saver in that external IR illuminator is not required for use with the camera during night time.

The following snapshots are captured by a Compro IP540 Day & Night network camera placed inside a Compro PH-100 dome housing. The image on the right is captured with all indoor lights turned off and the scene illuminated by the camera’s 12 built-in IR LEDs. The IR light does not bounce off the glass and camera video remains clear and sharp as per the image shown below.

Furthermore, Compro PH-100 series dome housing allows Compro PTZ cameras to pan and tilt freely inside the housing, enabling users to take the full advantage of a Compro PTZ camera. Compro PH-100 series dome housings consist of PH100T (with clear bubble) and PH-100S (with smoked bubble).
